Ever since I heard the quote in the preview I laughed at Chase's jab at his critics. I'm sure everyone remembers complaints about episode 2 not having any "action."
Anyway... Great episode, I'm looking forward to Chris getting f'd over in California.

I got that feeling as well. In fact, I was certain we would see the Rusty hit along with the last verse of "The Three Bells" tonight. If for no other reason then to appease those upset that Vito is still living. You never know for certain with Chase and Company.
As to the Vito situation. I agree with Fly and others who say Tony had more on his mind besides Vito's earning status. Nor do I see Finn coming to any harm because of this. Vito knows who let the cat out of the bag. At this point he has no reason to suspect Finn.
However, we can't rule out the mafia rumor mill here. Seriously, why the hell did Tony involve Finn in this? Like the BJ incident isn't going to spread like wildfire. In the small likelyhood that Vito does go after Finn, then Tony is partly to blame for giving the identity of his source.

13ok heres something to think about
tony emphatically stated that the whole bj incident stayed "within these 4 walls" and then a few scenes later phil leotardo already knows about it
snitch?

Sure thing.
Remember the scene with Chris and the man "supplying the scissors" for the guys from Naples? Chris first brushes it off in a defensive way but then turns around and confirms it. To a gun running smack head of all people!! It's human nature I guess. Like I said above, I don't think Finn is going to be in any danger, but it was pretty stupid of Tony to involve him.
I must say that it was a funny scene! Poor Finn.
Edit: To clarify. I know Chris wasn't talking about the BJ, as he didn't know about it yet. I still think it was an important scene, that tied in to what happened to him last season. Strangly, that was also about a bj.

I couldn't figure that out either. Finn certainly didn't belong in the meeting with Tony's guys. Tony could have said he got the scoop on Vito from a very reliable source and left it at that.
Another thing that bothers me is: Why is Chris' AA sponsor allowed access to much more than a mere sponsor should be?
He seems to be popping up everywhere. Could he be a "Donnie Brasco type" plant?

Re: Those (Tony) who fail history, are doomed to repeat it
17im not sure about the consequences for finn yet, vito might earlier or later call his wife from an anonymous phone cell to ask how the children are and the first thing his wife will tell him is that somebody came forward telling how he was seen with another man in a car, and that might make vito angry.

Yes, true enough, on each point, no doubt.
BUT--if Finn had not been there in person Paulie would have been left unclear about, to him, a very material fact: who was catching and who was pitching. Didn't Finn have to tell him, "No, it was the other way around"? Give the devil his due: Mr Tony is a very wise man.

Hey good point... the catching/pitching thing is an effective argument against the pass they get for prison applying more generally.
They all figure a guy needs some release in jail, so it's okay to pitch to the other team... but not catch.
Nice 'catch' stcroix

Re: Those (Tony) who fail history, are doomed to repeat it
20That's a good point, StCroix. But on the other hand, if Tony had gotten the story just as Meadow told it, he would know that "Finn saw Vito giving some guy a blow job". That's how she put it to Carmela.
I dunno. Maybe Tony was just reluctant to "convict" Vito of being gay without an attesting witness appearing to the "jury" in person, being subject to cross examination, as it were. Mob-style due process. That's the only thing I can figure.
