Rocco DiMeo

So Richie took The Jacket from Rocco DiMeo, "the toughest guy in Essex county" who "didn't come back here when [Richie] got through with him". However, the Sopranos is a series about the DiMeo crime family, so presumably Rocco was a blood relative of the Boss Ercoli DiMeo.

We know Richie has issues with respecting Tony being Boss. But is this an example that Richie didn't respect authority/hierarchy, even in the past? Is this something that helped position the Aprile's (albeit via Jackie) to be in line for the leadership after Ercoli?
