All due respect, I think we're veering from the point/original question slightly here - the fact is if the question is whether she has any "evidence" to offer the FBI - the answer is a resounding 'yes'. Although Tony shields her from the bulk of his business, especially the gory detail, she is no fool, she knows about the cash lying around, illegal firearms, etc etc etc.

If the questions is whether she could or would ever flip, the answer IMO is a resounding no. Carmela has had plenty of opportunity (Furio, plus their separation) to get away from Tony, plenty of motive (his affairs/mistresses) and some encouragement (the shrink she saw) to leave Tony for good. In the end she came back to him, they reconciled. She loves him, to flip would alienate her children and friends altogether (the likes of Rosalie, a hardened mob wife, would never speak to her again - and now with Angie's bodyshop etc she'd be too scared Carm would betray her too). Besides all this she depends on Tony, not only for money, they are what, 25 years a couple? She would have absolutely nothing to gain by flipping, but would lose everything. Witness protection? For a life of solitude, scraping a living selling patio furniture (!) for the rest of her life?!

So, no, in my view, Carmela could and would NEVER flip.

lefty ruggiero--the forensic accountant would be the witness, not Carmella. In fact, it would have been a forensic accountant who would have compiled Johnny Sac's net worth; it's what they do. They wouldn't need Carmella to do their jobs. Again, Carmella has no specifics to trade, which is why Chase has never had the feds try to lean on her. Sorry.

jimmythefish--She'd "flip" in a heartbeat if she saw something in it for her, even if that something were merely revenge. She's as self-centered as they come. "Stop blubbering," she told Ginny Sac, "It's a party." Unfortunately, she's not in a position to get anything from the feds, so it's not really in her interest to "flip." Now, her husband has much to gain by "flipping," but whether he does remains to be seen.

No. She has been around the mob life all of her life, so she knows that flipping is a death sentence. She has to believe that Ada was squealing to the feds and thus got killed for it. Besides, why should she kill her 'goose' and the golden eggs.

I don't think Carm would ever flip on Tony for the simple reason that (gulp) she loves him. And no matter how much he has repulsed her through the years with various behaviors, no matter how much vitriol has occasionally passed between them, I don't think she would ever cooperate in his prosecution. IMO the barking dog that kept creeping up in key scenes between them in season 5 was there for a reason: to connote "loyalty".

As for whether she'd cooperate in the prosecution of anyone else, if the motivation was sufficient, yes.

Carmella has specifics to trade. Fraudulent Income Tax returns. She has knowledge of Tony's gambling operation. Either of those would appeal to the FBI if they haven't (WHO KNOWS) come up with more by themselves after all these years and dollars.

WOULD SHE? Carmella is even more self centered than Janice, so it's doubtful unless she saw the writing on the wall. If the Feds convinced her that Tony was going down, with or without her, but her cooperation would make it easier for them, she might.

She saw in the hospital just how much she could rely on that other "FAMILY" with Tony out of the picture. So with that in mind it's possible.

One way or another we'll know ABSOLUTELY in about 8 - 10 episodes.

Does Carm suspect this? I didn't think she had a clue that Ade was working with the feds??
