Silvio

How ironic is it that in the season 5 promo poster it appeared that Silvio would figure prominently in this season's storyline, but if I was to use the season 5 premiere episode as an indication of things to come it would lead me to believe that Silvio will be in the background and not featured as heavily in the story lines as in the previous seasons. Sure he'll be there to advise Tony as always but I assumed as I"m sure others did that he would have a more developed storyline that goes beyond the usual(giving Tony advise and fading into the background. I know its a little premature but with all the new characters and story lines being introduced it would only be natural that somebody is left in the cold.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/devil.gif ALT=":evil">

Silvio will not be predominately featured this season because of his obligations to Bruce Springstein tour. Which was at full throttle through the filming of season 5. Which sucks because Silvio is one of the best characters in the show!

I'm not sure if this is because of Steven Van Zandt's schedule, but we've never had an episode where the B plot exclusively featured Silvio, and scenes just with him. I always thought it would be interesting to have an episode that revolved around Silvio, just like certain episodes revolve around Paulie, Big Pussy, Chris, and Johnny Sack.

Sil will have at least some kind of role in the future. Remember the clip in the previews where Silvio was pointing a gun at someone in the woods? Looks like he's going to clip someone and that's a bit strange to me, because Silvio is basically Tony's second in command. Usually guys in that position don't get involved with that kind of action. Oh well, time will tell what happens with that...
