Tony is transfixed by Prince of Tides on the television while Valentina tries to talk to him

Valentina: I had a therapist once that was a woman-

Tony: Too bad you didn't get all your talkin' done with her.

He barely hides his contempt for her through out the fifth season.

Listen for the double meaning here, about the bear and Tony

"You're gonna call Dad aren't you?"-AJ
"No."-Carmela
"A great percentage of them don't come back. If he does call us." -Wildlife Guy (which next time she calls the wildlife guy both Tony, in a BLACK leather jacket with all black clothes I might add ,and the Bear have shown up.)
"Oh ah, you keep bird feed back there?"-Wildlife guy
"Ah yes, Duck food. It's my husbands."-Carmela
"It's probable what attracted the animal. See the corns gotten damp and aromatic. You might want to tell your husband to keep it inside."-Wildlife Guy
"Right"-Carmela

It think the title of this episode "2 Tony's" has 2 meanings. The Bear and Tony making up 2 Tonys. And Tony's cousin and him. Another interesting note is that Tonys cousin has Twins, thus again evoking this pair idea. Plus how the money is kept in the Duck food at one point, which Tony will be back for, while the Bear will be back for the Corn. Plenty double meaning play going on here.

I agree, Silvio, re all the layers of meaning for "Two Tonys" and the bear as a symbol for "dark" Tony. Very significant to me too that the bear was menacing AJ (not really, but he was a perceived threat to AJ and Carmela was the one that tried to protect him from the bear using pots and pans, the quintessential "tools" of a housewife.:-)) And of course that whole theme of Tony in some ways repeating history and in some ways transcending it and being a better father to AJ than Johnny Boy and Junior were to him was in the show from the very first season, reaching a climax, perhaps, in season 6A, especially the episode Johnny Cakes.
