I can't help thinking that if he were still around, Chris might not have committed the murder, much less found himself drinking with the boys.
I agree 100%. Murmur knows too much about the Arabs and the credit card scam. Murmur knows Chris well - maybe that's why he's not his sponsor anymore. I thought it was lame that Chris didn't call his new sponsor. Cell phones exist in 2007! Unless he was on a plane at that time, he was reachable.

This episode showed for the second week in a row (Hesh / Tony) where people have differing views on the same events / actions. Tony has given Christopher pass after pass when he has screwed up. No one else has ever gotten such lenient treatment from Tony.

Christopher says all he has done is give and give. He can't take responsibility for his actions and he fails to see how Tony has bent over backwards to protect him. Tony probably can't protect from the heat about to arrive from the killing of JT.

I have to admit I find Christopher one of the least likeable characters although he often has funny lines. He beat Ade all the time, abused alcohol and drugs regularly, has no appreciation what others do for him (Tony, JT) and generally acts without thinking.

All the better for the demise of his character in the following episodes. :icon_mrgreen:

Yes, I agree with one of the above statements: "Michael Imperioli is one hell of an actor". Really amazing work he has done on this show...can't imagine it without him. He treads that line between manipulative psychopath and fun loving normal guy perfectly. In this past episode his coming to terms with the direction of his life is so realistically portrayed by subtle facial gestures..there is no doubt he is Christopher Moltisanti when he is acting on this show.

Huge mistake just leaving JT Dolan on the floor. He should have cleaned up and brought him to the Pork store (then run some bleach soaked rags through the meat grinder--DNA). There is no doubt an easy connection or suspician of Christopher can be made. If he gets hauled in for Murder he would have a huge incentive to flip. Tony will realize this, and it brings to mind a scene from Casino that I watched this weekend. Whenall the bosses in Vegas were getting caught and one of the insiders they knew would be brought in for questioning they were deciding his fate 5 out of 6 of the bosses or whomever said this guy has been stand up his whole life, he was a marine, and his Dad was stand up too, the last boss, Remi, the one in Charge says ...'I don't know, why take a chance"..

Could this be an opportunity for AJ to pop his cherry? And get fast tracked into the higher echelons? I doubt it, but I definitely see Christopher getting whacked--perhaps as a sacrificial lamb for New York?

In my view, Chris has always been the most sociopathic of the bunch -- completely normal one second, putting Ritchie through the meat grinder the next. And it's not just the drugs/booze that lead him astray. He rarely seems too bothered by killing anybody...I keep remembering that scene where he shoots the kid in the foot because he made him wait for doughnuts.

I can't see any possible way that he's going to get out of killing JT....the girlfriend, even if they had broken up, will be able to tell police about Chris coming over and hitting him in the head with trophies. Speaking of which, I know Chris was drunk, but did it surprise anybody else that he didn't look for the girlfriend AFTER he shot J.T.? Very sloppy move.

You are right, sloppy job on Chris' behalf. At this point I am not really surprised. With the way he was talking about Sammy Grovano in AZ, it makes me think he wouldn't turn away from such an opportunity.

Although Chris opened and closed the door with his jacket, he still used the doorbell which no doubt has his fingerprints on it.

Uh, no.

JT said something along the lines early that he was alone. Said he sent her away so that he could finish the Law & Order script.

No character disappoints more than Chris. Sometimes I actually root for him to do the right thing and he never does. His failures spin the show forward.
