I wanna know where Chase finds these obsecure cool sounding songs....they're really really good.
Good part when Phil took a drink and said "no more of this". Ah...then the music started to play and he looked up to those three pictures....GREAT!

Re: 'Chickentown' by John Cooper Clarke
13I was reading about Chickentown and I believe that the original version had the word "fuckin" instead of "bloody" which they obviously could have used b/c it's cable. Was DC choosing the "bloody" version to tell us something (it says "bloody" quite a bit).
Also of note, the first line is "The bloody cops are bloody keen." Thought that was pretty interesting. What is this song telling us and why was it put in the episode (besides it being a totally fucking awesome song for the ending).

14The song wouldn't have had the impact or meaning if instead of 'bloody' it said 'f**king.' Bloody is a terrible English curse word, though Americans probably see it only as bad as, say, 'damn.' But because of the basic meaning -- lots of blood -- it is scary and foreboding as well as angry. Actually a haunting song, esp in juxtaposition with the christening. Chilling.

17I read he heard this song ONCE in the 80's and new he'd use it at some stage. What a freak. I love it.khope07 wrote:I wanna know where Chase finds these obsecure cool sounding songs....they're really really good.
