Anyone else notice how there is no mention as to where Ralph is? Tony pretty much put the blame on NY, especially Johnny Sack. Tony even called Johnny out at that sitdown with John and Carmine Sr. when they asked about his 'point' man on the Esplande. Now, Johnny KNOWS he did not order the killing of Ralph and he KNOWS Carmine Sr. didn't either. Somehow I think Johnny will try to use this fact to recruit maybe Feech or some other of T's guys on his side so he can finally make a move against T. Chrissy is the only one who really knows what happened to Ralph.

You just dont get it... WAR is always a last resort for these people. What possible reason can Johnny Sack have to recruit Feech? Why disturb the tranquility and the peaceful relationship between NY and NJ especially with all thats already going down right now? Im sorry but all these ludacris theories on why pretty much ANYONE and EVERYONE want to 'make a move against Tony' are getting old and repetetive.

What will really clinch the whole Johnny Sack-Little Carmine beef and make it a crucial aspect of the plot (in terms of how it affects the Sopranos in Jersey) is how Tony's refusal to help Johnny overthrow Carmine at the end of last season will affect Johnny's actions toward Tony's family.

I think Tony probably wants Little Carmine to succeed ultimately. As wisely pointed out already on this message board, in the Season 4 episode in which Tony almost whacked Johnny at Carmine's behest, Tony called Little Carmine "f--kin' Brainless the Second" and said "Maybe there's an upshot to Johnny goin'." Tony has always recognized that Johnny Sack is a shifty, cunning and not-too-trustworthy guy who manipulates those around him for his own benefit. As early as Season 3, Tony told Sil that he wouldn't quash the beef with Ralph (over the stripper incident) by giving him a piece of the casino because "We're partnered with New York on that, and I don't want him that close to Johnny Sack."

Most crucially, now that there is bad blood between Tony and Johnny because of Tony's backing out of the plot to whack Carmine, Tony probably fears the prospect of a Johnny Sack ascendancy to power more than ever. So my bet is, push comes to shove and a showdown between Johnny and Little Carmine ensues, Tony may very well back Little Carmine.

I'm sure Tony ultimately wants Lil' Carmine to succeed but Tony already admitted to Chris that Johnny will most likely come ahead, but who knows. And calling what was his idea for 'power sharing' and then admitting to Johnny that 'Angelo had this idea...' all but shows Tony knows that he needs to save his own ass because of backing off whacking Carmine Sr. last season. Tony is totally trying to stay clear from this war between Sack and Carmine, as he says to Chris to pick up the pieces that fall behind. My guess is that Sack knwos Tony's plan and just offs Lil' Carmine so Tony has no more support from NY. A perfect time for Johnny Sack to change the leadership in NJ, maybe getting Feech to try a hit on Tony.

I agree WAR is avoided with these people at all costs. And sometimes viewers read too much into bad blood thinking that it would result in war when often one or 2 people got whacked at that was it. But what I definetly get the feeling that some sort of battle is about to take plus. It seems like Sun Tzu has been brought up in each of these last 3 episodes. The last time Tzu and his book were brought up was the episode with Tony's beef with Ralph and Johnny "trying" to settle it, when it fact he was hoping it would turn out bad.
