Re: How Crazy is Phil Leotardo

Hey, this character get mad props from me just because he's played by Frank Vincent. I just KNEW they HAD to have him on this series as a hitman-type character before it wrapped! Given how many other gangster-movie veterans are on the show--Michael Imperioli (Goodfellas, Last Man Standing), Dominic Chianese (The Godfather Part II), Ray Abruzzo (Little Carmine, previously in Casino), Steve Buscemi (Reservoir Dogs), Lorraine Bracco (Goodfellas), Robert Loggia (Scarface), and whoever the actress is who plays Carmela's mother (she was Lorraine Bracco's character's mother in Goodfellas)--they really couldn't leave good ol' Frank out.

Frank Vincent is the epitome of what I think of when I imagine an actor portraying a gangster on film. Frank Vincent is far and away one of the best in this genre, the way he delivers his lines and the menacing and commanding presence is what really makes him interesting to watch. Frank Vincent should have been on the Sopranos a long time ago but now that he is on the show hopefully his character is around to the end of the six season.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/devil.gif ALT=":evil">

Amen to that. I just watched Casino. All he had to do was just raise his finger (in the scene where he and Pesci muscled a bookie) and he still was scary as hell. I heard in an interview that a lot guys who see him, send their wives to talk with Frank and ask for autographs, because they are too scared of him to ask themselves.
