Artie

2
I do agree it was important for Tony and Artie to make up even though Artie usually gets on my nerves, he always wanting to be involved a bit in mafia business but never has the balls and always ends up backfiring on him, I think he sometimes wishes he could be more like Tony and the guys but that just isn't his style.

As much as Tony wanted to make peace with Artie, is it possible that Tony was also thinking about his own well-being. I mean afterall, Artie is a chef and having him around would mean that Tony will eat well. We do see Artie coming home with a couple of trays of food the evening Janice and Tony had it out.

i'm sure it was added bonus that Artie can now cook for Tony, but pretty sure it wasn't his original intention.

Also, did anybody find it funny when Tony and Janice picked up the food at Vesuvio's, that Artie was walking out of the bathroom and Charmaine saying something about Artie having to finish sauteeing the mushrooms?

Tony inviting Artie to stay at the house is mainly due to Tony's need to have people around him who idolize and revere him and Artie is one of these people, Artie has always marveled at the life Tony leads. Artie looks upon Tony as the man who he should have become (money, power, woman) instead of the total opposite of Tony in terms of where he is in his life.

I've read the above quote quite a few times and I still can not make the connection about the comical aspects of the above described scene from Wheres Johnny.
