Actually, all I ever remember you revealing is that you work in some aspect of psychiatry/psychology. Would you care to clarify exactly the nature of your work? I'm recalling the black priest from season 3 who seemed quite offended when Carmela assumed he was studying psychiatry rather than psychology. Want to make sure I don't commit an analogous offense . . . in either direction<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/happy.gif ALT=":D">

Thanks for the recommendation, Splishak! It is now on my Netflix list.

And bcursale, I definitely have eaten at Rosebud on Rush and I love it a little more every time. It's also a good spot to watch for La Cosa Nostra...although they usually haunt other neighborhoods that are less populated. You should try Carmine's, Tuscany or any of the Francesca's the next time you're in town.

let me first say: great new look and lots of fun to navigate!
I chose biker as a nickname because I am originally from Québec where there is a Sicilian-led mob but also local mobsters that use bike gangs.
I remember articles and photos about American mobsters in the Saturday Evening Post...must be from the 60s...For me Godfather 1 and 2 are the greatest ever mob movies!
I now live in Hong Kong where HBO finally started showing the Sopranos this year but they are only at Season 2! Also, local censorship is at work and they are bleeping out all the f words and cutting most of the sex scenes...kind of eerie.
This board has provided my link with the various seasons in real time. I await the DVD of Season 6 which should be available in China very shortly!

No, I haven't seen any Season 6 episodes yet but my daughter taped them for me and just mailed me the VHS. My comments will be stale but better late than never, I guess. I also assume that HBO Asia will eventually get to that season...they did One and Two in two months in April and May...at that rate, Six should come sometime next winter...Little pleasures of Asian living...

From upstate NY near North Jersey & PA borders. First 42 years from Brooklyn, NY. Started a real estate corporation & am in my first deal & about to get a second one to contract. Also a lifelong old school vintage analog Beatles-guy multitracking musician. I've been amassing reel to reel tape decks & associated gear to complete a home recording studio for the serious fun of it. All of it analog. The more obsolete, the more I like it. Aside from my computer, I have no interest in the digital Black Plastic Plague we are submerged in. When I was a kid, we used to go to Russo's Italian Restaurant on Coney Island Ave. You all know it as The Bamboo Lounge in 'Goodfellas'. The 'B' on the column is really the old 'R' with a bottom piece added. Pretty silly looking. Everyone who knew laughed at that one. Grew up in the great American Victory Culture. Chesterfields, Cadillacs, gangster movies, respect for achievement, civility, privacy (remember that one?), literacy, self-reliance, decency in the public space, etc. Like Patsy said, "what the f**k's happening to this neighborhood?"
Well, since I'm in Satriales, gimme 4lbs of the sweet, a pound of the hot, 1/2 pound of proscuitto sliced thin, 1/2'a genoa and 5'a the good breads. Can't get them up here all the time. Maybe I'll stop at Randazzo's for calamari with hot sauce & a dozen baked clams. Just to be safe.

I've been checking the Sopranos sites for a while now and finally decided to register. I'm from Montreal and no doubt there has been a lot of mob influence up here. I've always found it funny that Vito Rizzuto, who's on his way to the can in New York, is considered the god father of Canada and yet he's just a capo with the Bonanos. It just goes to show how massive one organization can be. I remember the first time that I saw the Sopranos on t.v., it had the trifecta, boobs, swearing and the mob. From then on I was hooked. Anyway, can't wait for the last episodes, here's hoping for some good, old school mafia fun.

Welcome Fleetwood55 and Rizzuto! Thanks for the intros.

I've been to Canada once, but the trip ended before it got started, really, as my father took ill with food poisoning as we were driving into Montreal. Wound up having to put him on a plane back to Florida alone while my Mom and I drove back. Did get the best cup of coffee I ever had in Toronto, though.:-)

Fleetwood, interesting stuff about the analog gear collection. One day that could all be very valuable, in the market sense, because there's still tons of old tapes lying around that people will want transferred to (forgive me) CD or other digital media. My aunt, who is a retired professor of piano, has had a number of her recital reel to reel tapes put on CD. So someday someone could knock on your door because you have one of the last working decks in the world that plays 1/4" tape at 1 1/2 IPS.:-)
