Jasone Barone, the happy wanderer

1
Tony really rejected Jason Barone when he admitted his ignorance of the criminal side of the venture, and brought up ideas of fairness. He referred to Jason as "worse than my son". This seems to indicate that while Tony has resentment towards AJ because he sees himself in him, this also gives him a level of sympathy for the kid - actually, and this is just conjecture, he may have unconsciously made AJ miserable for the purpose of having a son he could sympathize with. The disconnect with Jason Barone is that Jason is an innocent and clear-headed happy wanderer. Tony tries to blame the beating of the truck driver on Jason, but he doesn't accept the blame. The total absence of any guilt or weight on the kid's conscience irritates Tony.
