Quote:
Then the beating came, and I realized Paulie was attacking someone for daring to have a more traditional family life than he did. Those tears were nothing but self-pity.

An afterthought: I had wondered how Paulie arrived at the figure of $4000 a month, then it dawned on me. That seemed like a plausible amount for a retirement village rate. (Has the rate ever been disclosed before?) So maybe he is going to continue to support "Ma", but he's going to take it out of this kid's hide.

52Yes, the price of the nursing home is $4000 a month. It has been mentioned several times. Most recently in this episode. Paulie tells Tony:
Four G's a month for that nursing home! Fuck that!
So it's safe to assume that the $4000 a month from Jason Barone will go to paying for his ma/aunt.

53Paulie mentions it being 4K a month in THIS episode, so yes it is safe to assume that is the price of the retirment home getting kicked up from the idiot kid.

Actually, I do know Sligo, and it's absolutely beautiful too--especially Sligo town and the little villages around Sligo Bay.

And I have never heard of Sligo, but I know Sligo River Blues. Great song. Is there a Sligo River in Sligo?
