Vito and Finn

1
Remember, two years has gone by. I don't think this is the first time Vito has seen Finn since the "portapotty incident" even if Finn has been in Cali going to dental school.

If nothing had happened after what we saw at the construction yard, I don't think Vito would have acted the way he did in the hospital. The way Vito touched Finn's arm suggested a progression in thier ... uh ... "relationship". The way Vito behaved reminded me of the way the rapists behaved on "Oz" - the smarmy greeting, the leering intimidation, the way he "released" Finn and told him, "I'll leave you two lovebirds alone," so Finn could go hug Meadow.

Of course, it's totally possible that Vito just tortures Finn with the threat of rape everytime he sees him because Vito gets off on scaring and intimidating people. To be able to sexually frighten and intimidate them must really make Vito hot. (pardon me whilst I vomit at the though of Vito feeling hot).

vito is very ambitious yet lightheaded atm, by now almost everybody knows how he wants tonys job.while there is a chance he has seen finn again i rather think this is the way he treats everybody atm, he thinks he is the boss and kicks some butts.the whole vito thing might end through the finn/meadow connection.
if vito had met finn somewhere more silent this might have been finns last moment, although vito really seems to be so lightheaded that he even might have a coming out, look at all his marvin gaye and homo remarks.

I actually think Finn could be the thing that makes him get caught. I think he is getting sloppy and it is only a matter of time before some sees something going down with this guy.....either him tryin to come onto Finn or him doin something with somebody else......

remember he is not making a lot of friends......he will have some ppl gunning for him......i really do think this is going somewhere.....

Don't you think it very weird that he (Vito) would make advances to anyone in a public place such as a corridor in the ICU section of a hospital. I know what I saw but it makes no sense to me. Too, too risky at best for someone who would want to keep such acts a secret.

I think Vito (even though he is gay or bi-sexual) gets his "jollies" by taunting Finn. Or perhaps he does it just to keep Finn in check and "not spill the beans" about Vito's sexual proclivity.

I think that threats in public places are part of the intimidation. Makes Finn realize that no place is safe, not even in a crowd.

Also, Vito lives on the edge. These people beat and kill other people in public and get away with it. He probably felt that he had plausible deniability and was confident that Finn would be too humiliated and scared to speak up.

IMO the most unrealistic thing is that Finn would still be with Meadow. If I was him I would have broken up with her by phone the minute I was safely back in Cali.

Vito needs to die. Each season a character is developed in order to later be annihilated: Aprile, Ralphie, Tony B, and others. They function as either the antihero or the object of examination within a morality play. This season's sacrifice is Vito, and his exit will be very satisfying in that as a disloyal soldier as well as a nonrighteous gay, he is just beyond redemption.

Yep, I agree that it looks like Vito is the character who is being set up to get killed this season. Like what happened to Ralphie and Richie Aprile. But then again, maybe they will surprise us this time, and something else will happen.

I have noticed, that in these first three episodes, Vito hands seems to be all over other male characters. He puts his hands on Phil Leotardo's back/shoulders in the first episode. In the movie pitch scene, he has a hand on the other guy sitting next to him on the couch (can't remember who it was, maybe Patsy Parisi). And, of course, the scene with Finn. To me it seems like they are trying to remind us that Vito is gay/bi just a little bit too hard.

Finn really has a lot to loose if Tony should die (of course Tony pulls through, we know that now). If Tony dies, there's nothing stopping Vito from killing Finn.

BTW, Vito calls Finn "Phinneas Fogg", right? I remember that he called him Phinneas in the "Unidentified black males" episode as well. Phinneas Fogg is the main character from "Around the world in 80 days" by Jules Verne. This probably means absolutely nothing, but I couldn't resist pointing it out. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/tongue.gif ALT=":p">

Many here agree that Vito is heading to a dead end. Either his excessive greed for Tony's position or his gay/bi-sexuality may be his downfall. One scenaro is that Tony will get info on both issues, as well as of Vito hitting on Finn and he will call for a 'hit' on him. Another is that Vito could also cross up others in Tony's mob family, and they will kill him. The third, would be something connected with his 'gay' side.
