A Father's Permission & T's offense at Finn paying check

1
I don't know if this is a big deal in the Italian-American world, but I know in many cases it is very disrespectful for one to propose marriage without the permission of the girl's father. Do people think that Tony will take it well that this happened without his permission.

After all, he was offended by Finn paying for dinner. I think that was a sign that he was not ready to give up his daughter to Finn. He may not be too happy about this happening without his knowledge. Or mabe this won't even be addressed. What do you think?
